Harrington & Richardson .32 S&W DA H&R Second Variation
This is a fairly scarce Harrington & Richardson five-shot .32 S&W double action (DA) revolver. This is the exposed hammer DA second variation. This was manufactured circa 1896 or 1897. The patent date marking on the top rib is Oct. 8th 1895. Serial # 4067X. It is a top break revolver with double-top post barrel latch. Has a standard 3″ inch barrel. Bore has very good rifling, but with a bit of light pitting. About 98% original nickel. (See photos.) It operates well in both single-action and double-action modes, but the lock-up is just slightly wobbly, as the hammer is coming down. The extractor works perfectly. The original black gutta percha checkered grips are in nice condition. A great little Federally-exempt carry gun. (PBI-532)
