Nice Early Chilean Model 1895 Mauser (Loewe) Bolt Action Rifle

Chilean Model 1895 Mauser Bolt Action Rifle, #A425X, 7×57 Mauser, standard 29.6” barrel, blued finish, hardwood stock, inverted ”V” front sight and folding leaf rear sight, with cleaning rod. Marked on receiver ring with sharp Chilean crest, and on left side ”MAUSER CHILENO MODELO 1895 MANUFACTURA LOEWE BERLIN”. The A prefix serial shows that it was made in 1895. Some serial numbers match, but the bolt number is mismatched, as is typical. This rifle’s condition overall is quite nice with approximately 98% blue finish remaining on the metal, and bright bolt. Has some discoloration to the buttplate. There is some nice electric bluing on the magazine follower. Wood is very good with a bit of darkening, oil stains, and typical handling marks. Double-cartouched! The stock cartouches are sharp, showing that the stock has not been sanded. Action is smooth, bore is very good with very good+ rifling. (BER-822)
