SOLD — Winchester Low-Wall .22 Long Rifle — Circa 1893 in Very Good Condition

SOLD — Winchester Low Wall single shot rifle, originally chambered in .22 Short, but it has had its chamber deepened, to accept .22 Long Rifle (LR). This dandy little Low Wall was made in 1893. This has a 24-inch octagon barrel, serial number 6233X. Has a patent date of Oct. 7th 1879, There is a “1 “stamped on the bottom of the barrel which apparently indicates a heavy Number 1 octagon target barrel. This rifle has a nice tight action. I have test-fired this rifle, and the action works fine, with a crisp trigger. The bore is nice and shiny. The forearm’s wood finish is darker than that of the stock, indicating carry wear. The receiver may have been re-blued. This should make a great shooter. The buckhorn rear sight looks vintage, but it may be a replacement. (HCER-424) Firm Price: 1,050
