Webley & Scott Mark II .45 ACP DA Revolver, Royal Navy Marked

Very good+ condition antique British Webley Mark II revolver. Originally made in .455 caliber, later the cylinder was shaved (milled) to accept .45 ACP in moon clips. Revolver is mechanically excellent. Has 80% faded blue, fair grips, 4” barrel. The metal finish has mild high edge wear on the barrel and frame and cylinder. Rear of cylinder was left in the white, after shaving. It has some thinning on finish on the frame. The left side has several British proof marks. The barrel has ENGLAND stamped on it. The frame has WEBLEY/MARK II / PATENTS. Has a large Broad Arrow on the cylinder top strap. The grip frame in marked “N” for Royal Navy and has a correct original lanyard loop.  Serial # is 5787X — placing it around 1894 production. Bore is shiny and has excellent sharp rifling. I’d rate the bore at 9.5/10. Mechanically quite good with no wobble in the cylinder! Shoot only mild .45 ACP handloads through this revolver. A nice shootable example of a Webley Mark II revolver.
