Restored Winchester M1892 .45 Colt, Half-Magazine

A nicely restored Winchester Model 1892 antique rebarreled to the very practical .45 Colt.  (Commonly called “.45 Long Colt.”) Made in 1898. (Serial # 16257X). Round  20″ barrel. Half-length magazine. Receiver-mounted Williams adjustable rear sight with matching ramp front sight. The replacement walnut stock and forend are in excellent condition and show some nice figuring. A thin Ruger red recoil pad has been installed. There is 99% blue on all metal parts. The lever is nice and tight. The bore is excellent — mirror bright!  This rifle is also excellent, mechanically, with a crisp, light trigger pull. It holds quarter-cock properly, if the trigger is pulled.  It was refurbished by a Montana gunsmith in the early 1970s and looks like it was used very little, since then. What a handy little gun!  A great “companion” carbine for anyone who is already a .45 Colt revolver shooter. (EPLS-364)
