Rare Winchester M1894 Takedown .30-30 — Made in 1898

A rare Winchester Model 1894 takedown rifle chambered in .30-30 (“.30 WCF”) made in 1898. (Serial # 11961X.)  Has a correct 26″ octagonal barrel with a three-leaf express sight marked “50-100-200”. Very good stock and forearm with crescent butt plate. Excellent bore. See photos for a detailed look at the metal and wood condition. It has a bit of old pitting on the buttplate (see photos), but overall both the metal and the wood are in remarkable shape for a 123-year-old rifle! The stock may have been refinished, but the bluing appears to be original, with no signs of buffing. Model 1994s that are takedown variants and Federally antique (pre-1899 production) are rare, and I have trouble keeping them in stock.  (ENNB-094)
