SOLD — Nice Finnish M39 Mosin Nagant on 1895-Dated Antique Receiver

SOLD — Nice condition WWII Finnish Model 1939 Mosin Nagant rifle in 7.62 x 54r caliber that has the desirable  “B” marking on the barrel indicating the barrel was manufactured in German-occupied Belgium. These “B” marked M39 rifles are rare, with only 3,000 “B” barrels produced. Rifle was re-arsenlaized by Finland on an antique (pre-1899) hexagonal receiver from the Tula Arsenal. Has the Tula hammer logo marking on the underside and dated “95” for 1895. Rifle is import marked on the barrel and has non-matching numbers. Metal finish is original blue showing just a little wear, mostly on the buttplate. Bore is very bright with strong rifling and just a little pitting. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Right side of buttstock has a tight crack and a tiny Finn arms depot stockmaker cartouche. (See photos.) Complete with correct original cleaning rod and an original reindeer hide leather sling. A good example of a rare “B” barrel M39 arsenal built on a scarce and desirable antique receiver!
