Finn-Capture Mosin-Nagant M91/30 with 1897-Dated Barrel!

A Finn-capture M91/30 Mosin Nagant with 1897-dated barrel. This rifle is chambered in 7.62 x 54r. The rifle was rearsenalized on an antique (pre-1899) hexagonal receiver. The original Russian barrel is clearly dated 1897. The Imperial Russian barrel markings are fairly sharp. Has no import marks. There is a “SA” Finn capture mark on the left side of the barrel! The serial numbers are mismatched, which is typical of rearsenalized Model 91/30 rifles. Serial # 19914X. with mismatched numbers elsewhere — typical of Finnish rearsenalized rifles. Has a typical adn correct Finnish two-piece stock with lots of dings, but no cracks or “plug” repairs. The metal finish is original blue showing wear, mostly on the buttplate and magazine. The barrel bluing is unusually good.  The handguard has a nice arsenal finish that matches the stock, so it is probably the  original  Finnish arsenal stock.   The stock has a “W” cartouche, 2 inches up from the buttplate on the top, and a “J” cartouche on the left side, also 2 inches up from the buttplate   Complete with the correct original cleaning rod. Has a fairly nice shootable bore with distinct rifling. The muzzle appears to have been counter-bored. A nice example of a scarce and collectible Federally-exempt antique rifle. (CPKG-897)
