SOLD — Baker Batavia 12 Gauge Double – Museum Condition!

SOLD — 12 Gauge Double Barrel Baker Batavia. This beautifully-restored (or possibly still all original) Batavia Leader model looks like an almost new gun, but it was made circa 1897! Has an exceptionally low three digit serial number! Condition: 98% blue, with excellent shiny bores, and excellent stock. Has 30” barrels with 2-3/4″ chambers.  (Possibly deepened from an original 2-1/2″ depth.) Appears to have been expertly polished, re-blued and re-color casehardened to bring it back to factory new appearance. This is as close to a perfect restoration as I’ve ever seen. Has Full and Modified chokes. Has Baker fluid steel barrels, so it is safe to shoot with modern shotshells. Tight lock-up, mechanically fine. The original buttplate has a small chip on the left side. Aside from that, this is a museum condition gun.   Serial #25XF. Note that Baker shotguns made in cooperation with Crescent Firearms Company have serial numbers with this “F” suffix. This will be shipped in a Gun Guard hard gun case and outer box. (EKEL-092)  $1,950
