Webley & Scott Mark I .45 ACP
Very good condition antique British Webley Mark I revolver. Originally made in .455 caliber, later the cylinder was shaved to accept .45 ACP in moon clips. Revolver is mechanically excellent. Has 70% faded blue, fair grips, 4” barrel. The metal finish has mild high edge wear on the barrel and frame and cylinder. It has some thinning on finish on the frame. The left side has several British proof marks. The barrel has ENGLAND stamped on it. The frame has WEBLEY/MARK I / PATENTS. Has a large Broad Arrow on the cylinder strap. The grip frame has a lanyard loop. The brown checkered grips are in good condition, with the exception of the bottom of the right grip, which has a ¾-inch wide scrape. Bore has Very Good+ rifling, with a few scattered light pits. I’d rate it at 9/10. Serial # 140xx. Shoot only mild .45 ACP handloads through this revolver. A good shootable example of a Webley Mark I revolver. (EPYL-505): Firm Price: $1,450
