Ludwig Loewe Argentine M1891 Rifle, Original, Excellent, & Tiger-Striped!

An excellent condition (99% blue) Mauser 1891 in 7.65x53mm Argentine contract Mauser with a gorgeous stock with stunning! cross-grain tiger-striping. All serial numbers match  — even the brass-tipped cleaning rod! Typical scrubbed crest (probably before export to Peru.) Made by Ludwig Loewe, Berlin. Ser. # G445X.  Its G-prefix serial # indicates that it was made around 1895.  Nice bore with solid rifling. Most importantly, it is still in original military configuration!  (The vast majority of these rifles were sporterized, during the sporterization craze of the 1960s.)  Wood shows no signs of refinishing. Excellent original finish blond stock that is crisply stamped with a matching serial number and an inspector’s acceptance stamp. The stock has just a few very minor dings. This rifle appears to have never been issued to a field unit!  Nice original bluing except for the bayonet lug, front sling swivel, and of course, where the crest was removed.  Note that the buttplate has been blued, which is not correct for this model.  Also note that PriviPartzan (PPU) of Serbia now makes soft-nose non-corrosive (Boxer-primed) reloadable ammunition for 7.65×53 Argentine Mauser, and it is widely available.
