Winchester M1886 .45-90 Carbine Limited Edition — New In Box — No FFL!

A brand new in the box, 2019 release, Winchester Model 1886 Saddle Ring Carbine chambered in .45-90 Winchester. Serial number is 003X — one of just 500 carbines made in a 2019 limited run by Miroku for Winchester. The carbine looks minty (see photos), but the Winchester cardboard box and foam insert show some shop wear. Here’s the information on this carbine from Winchester:

“Model 1886” .45-90.  Barrel Length 22″, Overall Length 41″, Length of Pull 13 1/4″, Drop at Comb 1 1/4″, Drop at Heel 2″, Weight 8 lbs 0 oz, Twist Rate 1:20″, Barrel Finish Polished Blued, Stock Finish Oil, Wood Grade Grade I, Receiver Finish Polished Blued, Chamber Finish Polished, Barrel Material Steel, Barrel Contour is round, Stock Material Black Walnut, Carbine profile blued steel buttplate.

A Winchester-produced replica of their own Model 1886.” Barrel is marked BLACK POWDER ONLY”.  Important Note: The relevant Federal law that puts this rifle in the “Antique” category reads: “…any replica of an antique firearm if it is not designed or redesigned for using rimfire or conventional centerfire fixed ammunition, or uses rimfire or conventional centerfire ammunition which is no longer manufactured in the United States, and which is not readily available in ordinary channels of commercial trade.”  – 18 U.S.C. § 921(a)(3), (a)(16).   There is presently no black powder .45-90 ammunition manufactured in the United States, and it is not readily available commercially.
