SOLD — Oviedo Arsenal (Mauser) M1895 Sporter – Dated 1896

SOLD to T.I.: Scarce Early Spanish Model 1895 7×57 Mauser, made at the Spanish Oviedo arsenal in 1896. (Clearly dated 1896 on the receiver ring!) This gun is very unusual in that it was later arsenal converted to M1916 pattern, with oval gas relief hole! Semi-sporterized, with shortened forend. Rear sight slider is missing, so this gun is a candidate for a scout conversion with a B-Square Scout or S&K (forward) scope mount that drops in the rear sight base, with no gunsmithing.
