Scarce Colt M1878 DA – .45 Colt — Made in 1889

Scarce Colt Model 1878 double-action .45 Colt,  with 5-/12″ barrel. This model loads from a side-loading gate, like a Colt SAA.  Overall very good condition — about 95% blued finish — possibly re-blued, but the color looks honestly “Colt”. Has quite nice black gutta percha grips showing just minor wear that look original. Has a factory lanyard ring.  I’m also including a more modern unmarked Heiser-style shoulder holster that fits this gun is well, and is in very good condition (See photos.) It functions well in both single and double action and both the loading gate and ejector rod work perfectly. Ser. # 2332X shows that it was made in 1889. (EKCL-815)
