SOLD — Scarce Early Forehand .38 S&W Hammerless
SOLD: A scarce early Forehand & Wadsworth Arms Company top-break double action “hammerless” 5-shot revolver in .38 S&W. Has two-line manufacturer address & patent marking on top of the 5-inch barrel. Matching serial number 120X on cylinder and bottom of grip. This low serial number indicates that it was produced in the late 1880s. This revolver’s original checkered gutta percha grips are in nice condition. The bore is in quite good shootable condition with sharp rifling and just minor pitting. This double action only top-break appears to be in excellent working order. The photos do not do this gun justice. The nickel plating is actually quite reflective. (UUL-723) $545
