Chilean Contract Loewe Mauser M1895 Short Rifle — Shooter Grade

A nice Chilean Contract Loewe Mauser M1895 Short Rifle that I’d rate as shooter grade.  This handy rifle is chambered in 7x57mm Mauser. The stock has been lightly sanded, leaving just a few small dings.  The bore is a bit gray, but it has distinct rifling.  Has about 70% original bluing, with a bit of speckling on the barrel — just about typical. The bolt’s number matches the receiver, but the floorplate and triggerguard are mismatched. That is typical of Mausers that were re-arsenalized, in Chile. The serial number is C532X, indicating that it was made in mid- to late-1895.  All-in-all, this is a nice “shooter grade” Mauser with a handy barrel length. (BCI-078)
