Chilean Ludwig Loewe Saddlering Carbine in 7×57

A fairly scarce Chilean contract Ludwig Loewe M1895 saddlering carbine in 7x57mm Mauser.  This handy little carbine has about 60% original bluing and a stock with just minor dings.  Both of the sling swivels are slightly out-of perfect oval shape, but otherwise no notable defects.  This is remarkably good condition for a saddlering carbine that probably spent a lot of time on horesback. The receiver, bolt, and triggergaurd numbers all match, but the two digits on the floorplate do not match. The bore is fairly shiny, but the rifling appears to be worn.  The low serial number  (C462X) puts it near the end of 1895 — the first year of production. The saddlering carbines are much more scarce than the full-length Chilean infantry rifles. (UME-207)
