Swedish Mauser M1894/11 Carbine – With Bayonet

Scarce Swedish Mauser Carbine. Dated 1895. Made by Mauser (Oberndorf.) Still in original military configuration, with a beautiful walnut stock and a nice bore. 98% original blue finish! Original leather sling keeper buckle and sling are intact! In nice condition, mostly matching serial numbers (515X.) However, the bolt’s serial number is non-matching, which is fairly common. Stock and handguard have a few dings and compressions, and the wood appears to have been refinished at some point. The bore has excellent rifling, bright with nice lands and grooves. Not import marked. I am including a now quite scarce excellent condition Swedish carbine bayonet marked EJ AB. That stands for Eskilstuna Jernmanufactur Aktiebolag (Eskilstuna Iron Manufacturing Limited Company.) Bore is bright and shiny, and action is smooth. No pitting. Buttplate has some discoloration. Stock has a M1896-style “slice of pie” brass bore condition disk that may not be original to this carbine. The 1/2″ barrel extension shows that it is a pre-1968 import. Has no import marks. I’m pricing this quite reasonably, because of the refinished stock and the mismatched bolt. (AEGP-089) Firm Price: $1,675 (or $1,525 without the bayonet.)
