Winchester Model 1894 .30-30 Half-Magazine, Made in 1895

Winchester Model 1894 .30-30 Made in 1895. Serial # 3297X indicates that frame was manufactured in 1895. A half-magazine special order variant. (The more sleek half-magazine profile was preferred by some hunters.) This is a nicely refinished pre-1899 antique, with typical dings and scratches in the stock and forend. Fitted with a replacement Winchester Model 64 “Oval P” proofed barrel. (Most likely re-barreled at the Winchester factory.) Note that re-barreled pre-1899 antiques are still considered antique, per U.S. Federal law. (ECSP-468)
