SOLD — Charles Clement Belgian .44-40 DA Top Break – Nickel

A quite nice nickel-plated Charles Clement Belgian copy of the Smith and Wesson .44 Double action Frontier revolver. Marked “For .44 Winchester Cartridge” on the rib, and “Belgium” on the side. Serial number would indicate production somewhere around 1890. Mechanically quite good and the bore is strong and sharp. 85%+ of the original nickel finish is still present (see photos), and the grips are in fair condition with some chips and repaired cracks. It can certainly be used as-is, or it would look dandy if you made new pair of dark wood (Ebony?) grips, or if you had the existing grips dipped by a hydro-dipping company.  (Perhaps in a black carbon fiber pattern dip?)  This would make a good practical Federally-exempt  carry piece, (LPGK-415) $1,150
