SOLD — Scarce minty condition Swiss 1896/11 7.5×55 Swiss target rifle with upgraded sight bases. (These are typical Swiss bases for a detachable globe front sight and a detachable vernier match rear sight.) Has P-suffix (“Privat”) serial #23176XP (1898). Import marked, Swiss Model 96/11 chambered in 7.5 x 55. This rifle can safely shoot the modern GP-11 high pressure cartridges. The rifle has a magazine with a number matched to the receiver! Bore is mirror bright and shiny. Made in 1897. The rifle is in excellent overall condition and only shows minor dings in a beautiful blond stock. 98% of the original bluing is present.
