Finn-Captured Mosin-Nagant M91/30 with 1895-Dated Barrel

A Finn-Captured M91/30 Mosin Nagant with 1895-dated barrel. This rifle is chambered in 7.62 x 54r. The rifle was built on an antique (pre-1899) hexagonal receiver. The original Russian barrel is clearly dated 1895. The Russian barrel markings are exceptionally sharp! Has no import marks. There is an “SA” in oval  Finn capture mark on the left side of the barrel. The serial numbers are mismatched, which is typical of rearsenalized Model 91/30 rifles. Metal finish is original blue showing wear, mostly on the buttplate and magazine. The barrel bluing is unusually good. The stock has original military finish and shows just normal handling marks. The handguard has a slightly different finish than the stock, so it is probably an arsenal re-work replacement. The stock disc is absent, but those are readily available.  The stock has a faint circular cartouche, 2 inches up from the buttplate on the left side. (See photos.) Complete with correct original cleaning rod and a Finnish leather sling. Has a nice bore with distinct rifling. The muzzle appears to have been counter-bored. A nice example of a scarce and collectible Federally-exempt antique rifle. (HAYR-524)
