SOLD for $150 cash — A Hopkins & Allen “Ranger” single action spur trigger revolver from the late 1880s or early 1890s. Serial # 2388 (under grips). Has a scarce 2-3/4″ octagon barrel with semi-circular sight. 7-Shot fluted cylinder. Chambered in .22 Long. Nickel-finished spur trigger solid frame action. Has rarely-seen two-piece checkered black or dark brown gutta percha bird’s head grips with floral motif around the screw that have faded to a pleasant medium chocolate brown. Condition: 80% nickel showing scratches & spots of corrosion. Grips show light wear. The action binds, so this will either be a wall hanger or will require gunsmithing. Has a lightly pitted bore with visible rifling. (EBE-616)
