SOLD — Belgian .44-40 S&W DA Copy – – Nice Condition

PENDING SALE to B.F. — A very fine, clean and attractive looking Belgian Large Frame DA Top Break revolver chambered in 44-40. Barrel is 6 1/8″ with a very good, bright strong bore that shows some dullness; starting to turn dark in the grooves. Metal surfaces retain about 80% original bright blue finish with most of the loss due to scattered flaking and toning to a pleasant gray/brown patina along either side of the barrel and gripstraps. Some of the screw heads show light slot wear. The barrel is stamped “FOR 44 WINCHESTER CARTRIDGE” on the top and “BELGIUM” on the left side along with Belgian inspector proofs and crown proof. The hammer, barrel latch, and trigger show some brilliant fire blue. The black checkered gutta percha grips have some light scuffs and handling marks. Barrel to frame fit is solid and the action seems to function well mechanically DA and SA, with excellent timing and lockup. These Belgian copies are very rarely seen in such nice condition.  (KUY-712)  $1,150
