Remington #4 Rolling Block .22 with Excellent Bore

A good condition non-takedown Remington #4 Rolling Block, .22 with 22.5″ octagonal barrel. Condition: 90%  blue on barrel (with a few odd tooling marks), and traces of original color casehardening on receiver. Stock and forend are nice for their age and show no signs of sanding. Excellent shiny bore with distinct rifling! Has a fairly neatly-repaired tang. Action works perfectly, and the trigger pull is crisp. This is a sought-after pre-1899 example. Serial # 5325X on barrel. Has standard fixed rear sight, and the squared-font style “REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, N.Y.”  barrel marking. This little rifle is chambered for .22 Short, but the chamber can be deepened for .22 Long and .22 Long Rifle.   (BMP-331)
