How to Safely Mail Silver Coins
Silver coins should be tightly wrapped in a triple thickness plastic bags and then taped to a large piece of cardboard so that they are rattle-free, and then mail in a sturdy box—with plenty of padding and lots of sealing tape. Be sure to insure the package for the full value of the silver. And keep in mind that USPS insurance officials can and might deny a claim for a package that arrives torn open unless you send it via Registered Mail.
