Engraved Remington 1889 10 Gauge – Grade 3

A nicely engraved (Grade 3) Remington Model 1889 10 gauge with 32″ Damascus barrels. This shotgun is in very good vintage condition with wear and light dings. The bores are bright in the beautiful Damascus barrels. About 50-60% of the finish remains. The wood was apparently refinished and the varnish is a little heavy. (See photos.) It has dual triggers, extractors, and external hammers. This big double looks a lot like the shotgun that was carried by Viggo Mortenson in the movie Appaloosa. The LOP is 14.25″  Serial number 8374X places its date of manufacture circa 1897.  Note: I’m including a pair of Little Skeeters brand 10 gauge to 20 gauge chamber inserts. (CCGE-109)
